What this article is about is that charcoal is about three times worse for the environment than liquid-petroleum-gas. It has been proved that the efficiency of charcoal is 20-35 percent. In contrast, LPG has an efficiency rate of greater than 90 percent.

Also, LPG cookers have been deemed more conventional, being that they have power swithces and power levels for cooking. Charcoal cookers have no such options, and do not necesarily have the ability to regulate fuel consumption.
